Book of the Month Reviews: Winter 2018

Okay guys, I think I can actually handle these quarterly mini-reviews! Definitely more doable than monthly ones 🙂 Here are the three books I received for the first quarter of this year from Book of the Month! JAN: As Bright as Heaven by Susan Meissner This isn’t usually the genre of book I’d normally get (which would be chick thrillers I guess) but this was set in Philadelphia so I was intrigued! It also had really great reviews. The cover of the book is of the Logan Square fountain which is pretty cool. The story is set in the early 20th century (1918) and follows a family of 3 sisters and their parents as they move from Quakertown to Philadelphia …

NEW IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation vs Your Skin But Better CC Cream

Hello all! Recently I purchased the new Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer from IT Cosmetics. I’m a pretty loyal “IT girl” (I’ve been using their Your Skin But Better CC Cream for awhile, and also their moisturizer and cleanser). I love their CC cream – the color is a good match for me, it has SPF 50, and its fairly moisturizing. It isn’t perfect, of course, but it gets the job done and is nice for when I don’t want anything very heavy on and want good sun protection. I was excited to find out that they were reformulating their tinted moisturizer (Bye Bye Foundation) to be more full coverage. I ordered from QVC and it came with a …

Yay House!

Hello loves! Another monthly update. I’m happy to report that Steve and I have found a house to rent! We are moving in mid-April and I am, quite literally, counting down the weeks. Almost 8 😉 April will be a bit nuts due to moving, our 2 birthdays, a wedding, and perhaps a cat convention (!!!) Speaking of cats, Jesse has his vet visit on Saturday so hopefully all goes well with that. My parents have recently “adopted” a cat that they’ve named Smokey (pictured). She (at least we’re like 80% sure its a she) has been visiting their backyard since the summer and they’ve been feeding her and even got a little outdoor house for her. Eventually they brought …
